On November 30 and December 1, a conference dedicated to environmental communication and climate diplomacy in the face of global threats was held at the Institute of International and Security Studies. The event was organized by the Department of International Communication and the interdisciplinary research group "Environmental Communication in Times of Global Threats" #ENVCRE.

The conference was attended not only by representatives of the academic world but also by practitioners dealing with communication on a daily basis, for whom the climate crisis and the postulates of sustainable development constitute not only a context but also the subject of communication. The conference served as a platform for dialogue between the academic community and representatives of other public institutions on cooperation in the field of responsible environmental communication.

Key notes of the conference included: Prof. Franzica Weder from Vienna University of Business and Economics, whose presentation was dedicated to the strategic communication of sustainable development; Prof. Tomasz Kamiński from the University of Lodz, who presented a paper on cities as producers of ecological knowledge in transnational urban networks; and Prof. Alberto Lanzavecchia from the University of Padua, who highlighted the challenges associated with mitigating climate change.

Additionally, as part of the conference, presentations by students working under the guidance of Dr. Bartłomiej Łódzki were scheduled, presenting the results of research conducted as part of the Environmental Communication Research Group project. The conference was held under the auspices of the Section of Intercultural Communication and International Communication of the Polish Association for Social Communication. Partners included the International Environmental Communication Association (IECA) and the Human Rights Centre of the University of Padua.
